October 3 - Final report completed
On October 3 the final report of the project was sent to the European Comission.

New visitors centre in the western part of Asköviken opened.

December 6 2006 - new visitors centre
The construction of the new vistitors centre in the western part of the bay has started.

October 8 2006 - World birdwatch
A lot of activities will be going on in Asköviken (guided tours, information about the LIFE-project etc). For details: see attached link (in Swedish).

Information meeting about the new path system in Asköviken.

Meeting with farmers. The Federation of Swedish Farmers and the County Administrative Board of Västmanland give information about the counselling project “Greppa Näringen” which is going to be introduced in the catchment area around Asköviken. Greppa Näringen is a counselling project which promotes knowledge to Swedish farmers about managing nutrient emissions.

Seminar at Utvreta gård. Information about the situation concerning treatment of sewages and storm water in the Asköviken catchment area.

October 26th 2004
The project committee has its first meeting. The committee consists of representatives from the co-financiers and others with special interest in the project.

October 18th 2004
Information meeting about the project. Farmers in the area around Asköviken are invited.

October 2nd 2004
Information about the project during World Birdwatch Day in Asköviken.

September 8th 2004
Co-financiers, project partner and others are invited to celebrate the approval of the Life-application.

September 6th 2004
Project Manager is appointed.

August 26th 2004
The County Administrative Board is informed that the Life-project in Asköviken has been granted money from the Life-Nature fund.
