The Grass Snake and the Viper are the two species of snakes you are liable to encounter at Asköviken. Grass snakes are grey or black and have two yellow-white patches on the back of the neck. If you would like to see snakes in Asköviken you should keep a special look-out along the path between the camping ground and the Bird Tower, where there are usually plenty of both vipers and grass snakes early on in the springtime!
